How to Share Engineer and Architect Files
Once you sign up for a Media Lightbox account, you will be able to create custom folders to store and share your files. By organizing your files into relevant folders, it will make it easier to share your large files with your clients, be it a huge engineering project or simply draft drawings for architecture.
For example, as an architect you could create a separate folder for each of your clients, and only provide your clients permissions to download files from their own folder (saving you time and money!) that they can “read-only”.
To add a new read-only user to your Media Lightbox account, select User Management from the Administration section. There will be an option labelled ‘Add new user’ on this page. Select the link and then follow the instructions below:
· Select the ‘Read-only User’ from the drop down menu
· Enter your client’s details – click next
· Select the folder you want to share by clicking on the folder icon – click next
· Select the Save & Send Login Details
